Railway JE Recruitment: JE 2024 Salary
For Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant Posts: ₹ 35,400/- per month (Pay Level 6 in 7th CPC)
For Chemical Supervisor / Research and Metallurgical Supervisor / Research: ₹ 44,900/- per month (Pay Level 7 in 7th CPC)
Railway JE 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit: The Railway Junior Engineer Age Limit is minimum 18 years .
✔️ Maximum 36 years as on 1st January 2025.
✔️ The relaxation in upper age limit / maximum upper age is 03 years for OBC-NCL, 05 years for SC/ST, Plus 10 years for PwBD and others as per Govt rules.
Educational Qualifications:
Junior Engineers: 3-year diploma in a relevant engineering discipline.
Chemical Supervisor / Research: Degree or equivalent in Chemical Technology from a recognized university/institution, covering any of the following fields: a) Petroleum Products, b) Paints and Corrosion Prevention, c) Polymers. Knowledge of any computer language is essential.
Metallurgical Supervisor / Research: Degree or equivalent in Metallurgical Engineering from a recognized university/institution. Knowledge of any computer language is essential.

How to Apply Railway JE Recruitment 2024
Eligible Candidates must apply for Railway Junior Engineer 2024 (RRB JE 2024) online. The application form should be filled and submitted via the official websites of the respective RRBs/RRCs on 30th July 2024. The Railway Centralized Employment Notice (CEN) No. 03/2024 online registration will follow the following steps:-
- Visit the RRB Official Online Application Recruitment Portal – www.rrbapply.gov.in.
- Ensure your email ID and mobile number are verified through OTP. During registration, choose the specific Railway for which you wish to apply.
- Provide registration details, including your name, date of birth, father’s name, mother’s name, Aadhaar number etc.
- The candidates must upload scanned copy of following Documents:-
- (a) Recent Clear Colour Passport Size Photograph
- (b) Signature in running handwriting
- (c) Sc / ST Certificate
- (d) PwBd candidates should upload Disability Certificate & Scribe.
- Pay the application fee (if required) and submit your online application before closing date 29/08/2024 (Thursday) up to 11:59 PM.

RRB JE CBT 1 Syllabus:[Exam Duration – 90 Minutes]
The RRB JE CBT 1 Questions will be of objective type with multiple choices and are likely to include questions pertaining to:
(a) Mathematics: Number systems, BODMAS, Decimals, Fractions, LCM and HCF, Ratio and Proportion, Percentages, Mensuration, Time and Work, Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics, Square Root, Age Calculations, Calendar & Clock, Pipes & Cistern.
(b) General Intelligence and Reasoning: Analogies, Alphabetical and Number Series, Coding and Decoding, Mathematical operations, Relationships, Syllogism, Jumbling, Venn Diagram, Data Interpretation and Sufficiency, Conclusions and Decision Making, Similarities and Differences, Analytical reasoning, Classification, Directions, Statement – Arguments and Assumptions etc.
(c) General Awareness: Knowledge of Current affairs, Indian geography, culture and history of India including freedom struggle, Indian Polity and constitution, Indian Economy, Environmental issues concerning India and the World, Sports, General scientific and technological developments etc.
(d) General Science: Physics, Chemistry and Life Sciences (up to 10th Standard CBSE syllabus).
RRB JE CBT 2 Syllabus:[Exam Duration – 120 Minutes]
The RRB JE CBT 2 Questions will be in an objective format, featuring multiple-choice options. They are expected to cover topics such as General Awareness, Physics, Chemistry, Basics of Computers and Applications, Basics of Environment and Pollution Control, and Technical abilities relevant to the position. The syllabus for General Awareness, Physics, Chemistry, Basics of Computers and Applications, Basics of Environment and Pollution Control is uniform for all advertised positions under this CEN, as elaborated below:-
(a) General Awareness: Knowledge of Current affairs, Indian geography, culture and history of India including freedom struggle, Indian Polity and constitution, Indian Economy, Environmental issues concerning India and the World, Sports, General scientific and technological developments etc.
(b) Physics and Chemistry: Up to 10th standard CBSE syllabus.
(c) Basics of Computers and Applications: Architecture of Computers; input and Output devices; Storage devices, Networking, Operating System like Windows, Unix, Linux; MS Office; Various data representation; Internet and Email; Websites & Web Browsers; Computer Virus.
(d) Basics of Environment and Pollution Control: Basics of Environment; Adverse effect of environmental pollution and control strategies; Air, water and Noise pollution, their effect and control; Waste Management, Global warming; Acid rain; Ozone depletion.
(e) Technical Abilities: Questions on the Technical abilities will be framed in the syllabus defined for various Exam Groups.
